Christmas fire destroys buildings, property in benin Edo state

                                                               

According to punch, the fire started when many Christians faithful's were still attending the
Christmas service in their respective places of worship.
Two residential buildings, a furniture showroom, and a workshop were affected in the inferno.
although the causes of the inferno is nut fully ascertained yet, but some eye witnesses suggested that it might have being  triggered by the storage in one of the rooms or the use of heavy fire crackers.   more pics after the cut
         although no life was lost in the incident but properties worth was lost prior to the arrival of the officers of the state fire service
 The fire comes barely a day after an explosion in a gas plant in Nnewi Anambra state killed 100 people.  the Christmas eve explosion which razed several buildings,60 vehicles,50 motorcycles, while more 20 people suffered injuries.
